| I'm trying to find the best place to back up all of my photos online in addition to my external hard drive. I have initially chosen Shutterfly because they seem to have unlimited uploads for free. Are there any privacy issues with Shutterfly or anything else I should be aware of that would make me not want to use them? Thanks. |

Do you want other people to see them? (So, like post them here or something.) If the answer is "NO" then stop thinking "back up photos" and start thinking "back up files". Make a bunch of encrypted containers and throw them up on a normal "back up your stuff" web site. I keep a hard drive of my personal stuff at work (encrypted), it's far enough away that I will have one copy no matter what happens. Just don't forget to actually DO the backup. |
