I used to do it occasionally. The company would mail me some papers and a twenty dollar bill. I would make three attempts to serve the papers. If they weren't served, I would keep the twenty and mail them back. It was a nice source of beer money.

I have never been one, but my office uses one all the time. He charges $25 to serve.

I served papers for 4 months. It sucks!!! I got about $18.00 per service. Nothing if there was no serve. I got $.50 a mile and with gas being $4.00 a gallon, I lost money most of the time.
