to start putting together EBR's? Looks like all of the components are available now at mostly non-panic prices. Without waiting for the Gunbuilder to get up and running I could see putting together a nice basic rifle or carbine for under $700.

Time to start (for those of us who've never done it), or wait a little longer?

I am waiting.  There might be enough parts available to build a rifle, just not the parts for the rifle I want.

It's getting there. I just picked up a lower from PSA for $69.

Where are you finding BCG's?

I might try an AR-10 build in August... I am hoping prices come down a little more on ammo.

I'm still trying to find some stripped A-1 uppers.  I need several for some future projects and I'm stumped at where to find any.  It's all just M4 and A-2 uppers on the market.

only the next large scale shooting or 2014 Dem takeover, whichever happens first, for another panic

There always seems to be a plethora of A1 uppers on the EE.

There are BCG's out there. Too expensive, but PSA generally has a couple options available.

I actually bought one from RGuns at the height of the panic. $130, took exactly 8 weeks to actually receive the thing. Looks perfect, have no idea what the bolt is made of though.

So I have a semi-questionable FA BCG, now all I need is to start looking for lpk's, stripped lower and a nice upper.

I'm pretty sure I want to do a rifle length. Something much more accurate than I can shoot.

I've got one of the RGuns M16 BCGs in my HBAR clone. Seems to work well so far.

Good to hear that! I've used the carrier a couple of times, been wary of using the bolt.

Soon I'll be asking about 20" barrels. White Oak? Does Krieger do AR barrels?
