"Hi _____,

Thanks for your order today.  I am having your flashlight sent out tomorrow (12/17).  I opened it to make sure that the bulb was working.  We have a had a couple lights come back with defective bulbs lately; yours works great.  It also comes with a new set of lithium batteries in the flashlight.  Feel free to contact me with any questions.

Happy Holidays!"

damn, I didn't see that coming

seriously though...it sounds like I'm getting one of the defective flashlights that he managed to "make work great" again.
...or am I just being paranoid?

????

Problem with a bulb, someone took the time to make sure you got a good one- I don't see the foot anywhere? Most would just send you the product and let you hagle it out with the manufacturer because they already made the sale and now your stuck with it.

Don't most surefires ship with the batteries sealed in plastic or something? If it has a set in the flashlight, and the set that came with it, then everything is cool, if not, I'm thinking I just got a returned item.

I don't like that shit, especially since I'm getting an LED upgraded bulb housing thingamajig.

Why not reply telling them you want a sealed product, it's for a gift and all.  Wouldn't want it to look like I gave someone a used flashlight.
