My old lap top crashed the other day and I wanted to install TrueCrypt and I noticed it was discontinued a while back.

What is ARFCOM's new favorite?

Nice try, G-Man!  Want to know what to send the NSA after next, huh?!
I think Veracrypt is the current favorite.

On a more serious note what OS, and are you looking for WDE, file level, secure volumes?

And +1 that vera has pretty much taken the front runner spot...

7.1a is the last known 'clean' version.

Anything after that is suspect. Although by now it wouldn't surprise me if someone found that the 7.1a has been tampered with in some way.

I still have the last clean version of truecrypt. NSA or no NSA it will still do the job of keeping a thief from browsing my porn stash.
