| So I was at the Capitals game at the Verizon Center two weeks ago and there were a group of really drunk girls who starting talking to two of the bike cops. One asked for a ride and the cop gave her one, and they sped off down the road, and came back 5 minutes later. Is he supposed to be doing this? I dont really care, I'm not out to get this guy's badge number, I'm just curious and interested in hearing your experiences with this kind of stuff. |

We do too. Usually a one way ride. In all seriousness, I work in a college town and kids (and locals) all the time ask if they can hitch a ride. Some even are brash enough to follow this question up with jackass remarks about paying taxes. I tell them that the car is black and white, not black and yellow, and it's not a taxi. When they start in on paying the taxes to pay for the car, I remind them that I'll be more than willing to give them a ride if they want to push the issue. |
| Not uncommon at all to have Police Motors with sidecars. Particularly in the DC area, and some of the big cities up north. They ride 'em in in the fall, put sidecars on, and ride until spring, and they take them off. The DC, and Capitol police will be riding in the snow when the new pres. is sworn in. |
