Found out on Friday that the little guy is going to be a boy!!!

What do I need to get for him and me? I know a AR15 is a must.

Diapers are highly recommended.

Congratulations!

When you change his diaper, lay a wipe across his wiener so if he pees, it doesn't get all over.  You're welcome in advance.

I bought a 10/22 the day after I found out my first son was on his way.

Buy a stripped lower and some p-mags to set them aside for him, just in case the laws change in the next 15 years.  I just did this for my two sons (2 years old/ 2 weeks old).  I figure when each gets old enough, we will build an AR together.  I ended up with consecutive serial numbered lowers too, which is kind of cool; it will help prevent me from stealing one for my own project.

1) A 529 account (or other long term college investment vessel)
2) Setup an NFA trust
3) Form 1 some lowers into said trust
4) Form 1 (if you have the skills) or Form 4 (if you lack the skills) some suppressors into the trust
5) Buy 1 brick of 22LR every month of his life (if it ever becomes available again). Put it aside for him. Don't shoot it.
6) NRA Lifetime membership
7) If your state is like mine, you can buy a lifetime hunting/fishing license when the child is an infant for 1/10th of what it costs an adult.

Awesome. My little fella is almost 3 now. He really livened up our house!!!

Buy diapers, start now. When u think you have enough buy some more.

I bought everything from NB to size 4 and it worked out perfectly.

6) I hear you and to a large degree agree with you. A very large degree.
7) Same here, but Tennessee isn't going anywhere (nor is Texas), and for the price it seems like a good deal to ensure a lifetime of hunting and fishing rights. Even if that means he has to take vacation days in the future to travel to his birth state to use them.

I checked Texas website, didn't see a discount for the lifetime hunting fishing license. You got me excited since I have a 3 month old boy.
