I was having a similar conversation the other day.

I'm personally convinced there is a no-win future for us like-minded folks (relative to grinning and bearing the status quo)..
10/11/2009 6:55:38 PM EDT
[#19]
that means that, as much as I hate to say it, I am one of "those" guys who will likely continue on with the status quo because any realistic alternative appears to be immensely WORSE than the present.

IBThose who will argue.

Remember your strongest weapon, the vote. It is closely tied with "like minded people" and producing a candidate worth following. Someone who speaks out on the situation (like Beck), someone with experience, (like Palin) and someone trustworthy like you.

I'm guessing the OP's thread is in response to the Napolitano Homeland Security announcement

We entrusted GWB with two terms and where did he stand on Illegals and the Border Issue ?   Amnesty and put up a couple miles of fence

We wanted McCain him being the lesser of two evils, where did he stand on Illegals and the Border ? Amnesty and I don't know but his state is overun with Illegal Crossings and Safe Houses

Other Republicans like Lindsey Ahole support Amnesty for the sole purpose of not pissing off potential voters
Huckabee  ( and I like him ) alluded to the idea that we could right the wrongs of mistreatment to Blacks by Coddling Illegals of Hispanic origin -

This is where trusting Republicans has gotten us, nowhere

Now the WhiteHouse has been handed over to our worst nightmare

Not surprising coming from someone who doesn't know what a possum is.
