Anyone seen this?
I'm not a shredder or much of a rocker but this is a heartwarming and inspirational story. That guy was/is good. It's sad that his great love was taken by that disease (Lou Gherig). Here-s a link from IMDB - http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2120779/ There are a bunch of players featured in it, including Marty Friedman for Hemi Cuda (or whatever his new screen name is |

Quoted: Actually, Hemi Cuda hated Marty Friedman. He was a huge Dave Mustaine fan but never liked Marty. Quoted: So.....you're telling me that Marty Freeman is an ARFCOMer?..... No, I just remember Hemi Cuda loving that player so much I figured I'd point it out since he is probably here under another screen name now and should probably check this movie out. Anyways, I think he got banned a few years back for suggesting a final solution to the issue of Islam one too many times.

Jason Becker was a awesome player. I reserve that for few people. I played professionally for some years, did lots of production for lots of famous people. Never worked with him and I didn't always like the "shred" style, but he had talent. I had a copy of his audition tape for David Lee Roth and it blew me away, for one because I used to cover DLR songs in several bands I played in. Steve Vai was a later major influence for me and I did get to work with him. Last I saw, he was still composing music one note at a time with his eye movement on a computer. The brain is still moving at the speed of light.
