I've got a 95 Jeep Grand Cherokee Larado and tonight it started doing something different.

I'm getting  alot of humidity out of my vents, it's relatively warm, even on "cold" but AC is running like normal.

I've got a leak from the hood area outside the passenger door that allows rainwater to leak down onto the passenger side floor. It runs down the inside of the firewall, through it somehow, and drips down under the dash onto the passenger floor. Currently, the entire right side floor (both front and back) is damp enough to make any paper touching too soggy to use. We've had some rain, but I didn't think we'd had quite *that* much.

I'm not sure if the two are related or not, but as they both involve water I thought I would mention them together.

Main concern right now is the humidity coming out of the vents onto the windows as that can make driving difficult. It doesn't appear to have too much/if any anti-freeze in it, but I will know more tomorrow morning when I can check my coolant again.

Any suggestions on what this might be? Current thoughts are the heating core, but when it blew in my Escort, it was much worse than this.

Sounds like a leaking heater core.  Could also be a clogged drain causing water to overflow into the airbox system.  Check out www.jeepforum.com for more ideas.

I've got a 96 Grand Cherokee and I've heard replacing the heater core is a hell of a job.

yea, it's a pain. the heater core is behind the dash. so you've got to pull the interior apart.

sucks man. get a factory service manual from ebay, don't bother with a clymer or chilton manual
