Should have just written the paper and not said anything. Better to ask for forgiveness than permission. ETA - My college professors have universally told us they didn't want to see papers about Jesus or abortion when we get writing assignments. I never heard anyone call the press.

At this point, its her word against the school, but if they deny it they should be ok with her turning her paper in as originally written
