The place I worked at at the Orlando International Airport had a VW bus that had an APU in the back. It was used for starting DC-8's and other that had a tits up APU. Me and another guy had to go over to the warehouse to get some hydraulic fluid and the bus was the only available transportation. We started off just normally until we got to a stop light and a new Corvette pulled up next to us. I raced the engine on the bus and yelled to the guy "Lets go at the light". He laughed until I told mike to start the APU in the back. Once it started to come up online the exhaust door on the roof of the bus opened up and flames started shooting 15 feet out of the top. the look on the guys face was priceless. |
