Sadly, I have to say that Jim Webb is in the wrong party. The Democrats have gone full retard, on guns and on other issues. I'm on Democratic email lists, both nationally and here in Virginia, and every day I get untold amounts of spam, much of it touting their gun-control stance. Man, they're sending this to the wrong guy! They're making it very clear that they're coming after my guns! So, every email I get from the Democrats hardens my opposition to them!

Quoted: If you look up Jim Webb's voting record, its very much in line with ARFCOM. Except for social aspects. Abortion, gay marriage, and health care. So he winds up on the blue side, shame. Which is why I like him. Two of those three are something I completely disagree with arfcom about. |

If you're genuinely curious, do yourself a favor and research his duplicity throughout the Obamacare debates rubberstamping. Look at what he said just after Scott Brown's election about the the meaning of Brown's election and the need to suspend votes on Obamacare until after Brown was seated. Then look at Webb's actions immediately after that statement in which he helped ram it through before Brown was seated. That's a good place to start. Or, even better, look into the Democrat candidates for whom he stumped. Look into his speeches about them. And then look at the public statements and voting records of those he helped elect. |

Dope is no worse then beer. And I don't have unborn children so that doesn't hurt me. Why do I care about gay marriage again? I am not gay so what ever. Let then do what they want it doesn't bother me. The 30 round thing and the rest of those stupid laws were passed by a VERY left controlled legislation. Not centrist. |

But you guys (Colorodans ) elected them. That's my point. Colorado elected a bunch of 'moderate' Ds who went along with the gun laws. That's the inherent problem with 'moderate' Democrats. They may look good on paper, but at the end of the day they will take away your 2nd Amendement rights. Every time. |

I met him once when I was at Marine Corps Base Quantico. Doing the MCMAP or something and he just appeared. Everyone running around like crazy because a Senator showed up. He just stood around talked a little about Vietnam, the Corps, Leadership etc then was gone. Don't think it was planned. To be honest at the time I would have never guessed he was a Democrat.
Kind of disappointing that a Marine Officer is such a poor public speaker. |

Part of the reason the left got elected here (besides the influx of commies) is that the Rs wouldn't STFU about stuff that doesn't matter and the A word. Had more Rs said they didn't GAF about the weed (some did) and didn't derail the civil union bill (which had enough R support to pass), then things probably would have turned-out differently here. Kolorado used to have (still kinda has) a big "live and let live" population and many voters are/were unaffiliated. Regarding the A word, regardless of where you stand on it, currently there are 2 possible outcomes. Realize them. The first is that the A word remains legal and Ds are elected. The second is that the A word remains legal and Rs are elected. |

Yeah I'm not questioning his leadership per se just stating that public speaking, while not sexy, is something a USMC Officer should try to be good at. Though I do think it is odd to want to be the Commandant. Seems like a shit job, though really every job is a shit job for an officer after Platoon Commander |
