{rant on} I need some good’ole ARFCOM advice on dealing with a flat out POS at work. We work in the same department, do the same type of work and share an office together. This guy is always starting rumors and gossips worse then a woman. He thrives on controversy, lies and makes up these BS stories about everything. He’s a catalyst for bad moods and just a host of problems. He spends more time trying to figure out how to get out of working then actually going out and doing the work, and he’s been written up and reprimanded for safety violations. He constantly bad mouths, swears and says he can’t stand some managers, but always covertly kissing ass to the same one’s he bad mouthing! I’m sick and tired of it . . . I seriously can’t take it anymore. I’ve complained to management, their standard answer is “yes, yes uh huh, I know, I know!” I’m considering writing a letter to my department manager and immediate supervisor, telling them that A) They can move me or him out of the office, keeping me or him in the department with another job or B) Move me out of the department all together putting me in another. Or C) See ya! What get’s me is management knows how he is, but they keep him around . . . I can’t figure it out! This dude is like bipolar or something. . . . One day he came in late, supervisor said something to him, “F this place . . . I don’t want to spend any more time her then I have too . . . This place sucks, blah, blah, blah!” twenty minutes later (and I counted) he said “I’m gonna work all the overtime I can!” just as calm. He’s constantly throwing me under the bus. . . . I could go on and on!! I need some major help dealing with the backstabbing prick or I’m gonna need med’s to continue my employment there! {rant off}
