I liked 1. I thought 2 sucked. I turned 3 off part way through. I can’t imagine they made a 4th

Besides, you didn't notice the dog perk up and look off in the distance at the cemetery? John was there , watching. Same reason the two guys were speaking so light heartedly about him being "dead." Basically, "John Wick the assassin" is dead, but not the man. He can go live his life now that the high table thinks he's dead but I'm sure he'll get drug back in at some point for a sequel. My guess is they kill Winston to give him a reason for revenge.

For me, it's a tie between 2 and 4, with the first in second place, and the third coming in last.

I just watched 3 again, on 4K disc. It looked and sounded fantastic, the action scenes were on, and yet... there was something missing.
The second film had Cassian, Santino, and Ares. The fourth had the Marquis and Caine, and even (to a lesser extent) the Tracker.
The antagonists in the third film weren't as compelling. The Adjudicator wasn't menacing, she was just a bitch; and Zero was kind of "meh."

Let's face it, Reeves ain't the quintessential thespian. It's the supporting characters that make or break the movies.
I really want to see a Caine movie. I'd also dig seeing more of Koji and Akira. (Tales of The Osaka Continental would be killer.)

Jardani Jovonovich is John Wick's real name. I guess he means IF John is still alive, he can "finish his life."

Though I'm not sure how much of a life he's going to have. I kinda agree with the Marquis. John is a killer. The only reason leaving the life worked last time was because he had his wife. That's no longer the case.

Even with Helen, he lived under the John Wick name. Now there is nothing tying him to that life and he can start a new one.

Doing what? Moving to the middle of nowhere and running a puppy day spa?

John is nearly 60 years old and has been killing people, presumably, since he was a teenager. It’s all he knows. The only way I see him being able to move on and find happiness in a new life would be if he found another “love of his life”’and the chances of that happening are obviously extremely low.

Hell, I don't know, it's a movie. Maybe he can move to Canada and start logging with Dexter.

Which is why I think John dying is more of a happy ending than him living.

Similar to Gladiator. Maximus got his revenge, had nothing left to live for, and simply wanted to be with his dead family. The idea of him living after the film’s climax is depressing.

Despite being somewhat cheesy 1 and 2 were pretty decent action movies with realistic (for Hollywood) gun handling.

3 was cartoonish and I've seen a better plot to action ratio in porn movies.

This one was just bad.
The gun play was really dumb.
The bullet proof suits, stupid.
Villain was lame.
And apparently I went to the bathroom during the only decent scene (overhead shotgun)

I hope John Wick is really dead... because the franchise should be.

Did anybody else think the DJ was annoying as fuck? Holy shit I hated every time that character came on to give updates. I wanted to yell at the screen for her to shut the fuck up. I realize the character was an homage to The Warriors, but the character was awful and was my only complaint other than John seemed to not shrug off everything that happened to him even more so than usual.

What a bad movie. So many scenes the actors pull punches, wait to get hit like a statue, wait for Reeves to draw from his holster. Oh and of course he rolls all the way to the bottom on the stairs. Glad no money spent to watch it.
