Does anyone know of some good joint care supplements?  I don't really want something that gives you an immediate "feel-good" status.  I'm looking for something that when you take it over time it keeps your joints in good condition.

The work I do can cause some repetitive use symptoms in some people, so I thought I'd try taking some supplements to help keep good care of my joints.  Plus I exercise and lift weights(sometimes).

I have had good luck with both Glucosimine/Chondroidtin (sp) and MSM (can't remember what it stands for off the top of my head). Both products have worked in the past with shoulder and elbow pain while lifting.

Absolutely.  Glucosamine/chondroiten has worked wonders for my knees.

Thanks for the help, everyone.  Now I've got another question:  where's the best place to get glucosamine or chondroiten?

it is sold all over the place....costco even sells it. I have my prefered brand (Lindberg) that I like. I also take there fish oil pills and their vitamin packs.

I have been taking glucosamine / chondrotin and a product called Celedrin softgels.  The combo has worked great for my knees.

I take Glucosamine/Chondroitin with MSM as well.    I feel like joint issues are less than when I wasn't, but it isn't like you go from pain to all feel-good overnight, so hard to tell for certain the exact effectiveness.    It is on the expensive side as far as daily supplements go, however, pretty much no matter what brand and where you buy.   I try to wait for sales and stock up - vitaminshoppe.com is having a buy 1, get 1 50% off on all their house-brand supplements (can mix and match, too).  Sometimes the B&M store runs the same promo, sometimes not.

I'm 19 and I take gloucosamine just as a preventative thing.  I don't take it regularly enough to comment on how effective it is, but my mom does and she has problems with her knee and it seems to help.
