Good movie. A lesson in how absolute power corrupts absolutely. Pretty cool story with some pretty intense shit going down. The special effects seemed a little on the weak side but not awful and the found footage thing might put some people off. Just a fun movie, B+

Thats what I was thinking. The ending fight reminded me of Akira.

I liked it. I'll buy it when it hits the $5 bin at Walmart.

i liked it and thought that the character development was really quite in depth for a 90 minute movie. i was sad at the end of the film, to be honest.

Wouldn't that be like the old twilight zone episode where the aliens give the weak wimp super human strength but he simply uses it for trivial matters instead of for good?

I would have to say that most people would follow the same path...a sad statement on our society, values, and the need to fill our egos instead of solving society's ills.

I thought it was very well-done.  Great character development (whether development into evil or into greater good), believable (other than the superpowers), and the ending was satisfying.  The handheld/security/news method of cinematography was believable and acceptable as well.

I also like how it didn't end with everyone dying like Blair Witch or Cloverfield.  Those movies were cool, but I didn't really think they were memorable.  This movie was memorable.

The kid had a terrible family life, terrible school life, his mother is dying, and then he accidentally loses control and kills one of his best friends, and because he can't handle what he had done, his mental defense is to justify it by saying that just like a lion doesn't feel guilt killing a gazelle, he shouldn't feel guilty killing lesser beings - he is the "apex predator" - and that is the real point at which he descends into evil and madness, and there's no way back from there.
