Under what legal grounds or situation can you be arrested during a protest? Apparently these hippies walked into a Army recruitment office in a mall next to my campus. The cops asked them to leave. They didn't. Then they got escorted out and arrested.

I need some quick answers please.

Tresspassing and creating a distrubance are the big two.

Yup.  You gotta be peaceable about it and you gotta do it on public property or the private property of someone who approves of your presence/protest.

Sounds like trespassing to me?

Yep. Trespassing, assuming that all they did was come in, protest, and refuse to leave.

In this case I think the legal (and correct) justification for their arrest was for being filthy fucking hippies.

There's a SCOTUS ruling on this somewhere. I think it's State of Maine vs. filthy fucking hippies, IIRC.

In Texas, it's illegal to disobey the instructions of peace officer. Then there's private property.

Yeah, that's why I always get raped by those Texas cops. I just can't say no.

You don't have to DO what they say, but they can charge you with a crime if you don't. You can say 'NO' - you'll just get raped downtown instead.

These dog turds got over 5 minutes of video coverage on the news last night.  ( For a group with EIGHT members. The TV crew followed them in.  Quite the coincidence.)  I'm amazed that the E5 in the recruiting office did not punch them. He took a lot more verbal abuse than anyone should have to.

An officer arrested the smelly fat hippie bitch that tried to shove a pamphlet down his shirt after grabbing his gun belt. She's the one on the news that shouted in the recruiting office; "Those uniforms make you into big men don't they!!"

The guy is well known here as a lawsuit seeking anti-war scumbag.  This is the same group that protests the local banks for funding the war.  NWO type stuff

I found it pretty funny the jackass was shouting about how his taxes are spent.  He does not have a job and is on a UT scholarship.

They fucking closed down an intersection in Chicago last night to allow protests of an ICE raid earlier in the day at a strip mall.  I wish like hell they would've arrested those people, but it's verboten to offend Mexicans in Chicago.

Do you know who this hippie asshole is (e.g name)?

Time for a little visit.

I thought they got rid of that law a couple of years ago?

They were using it in Houston to arrest traffic violators who argued with the cop.
