They used to use it under carpet in cars back in the 60's-70's

I've bought miles of it from auto upholstery supply places

Home Depot by the roll @ about a buck and a half.  Dye it what ever color you but 6 sounds like an awful of colors to me.

Id buy it buy the Pound, 6 is a bit much for colors,.Id pick 3 colors and buy a pound of each. It takes quite a bit for good coverage.  I used over a pound and a half just on covering my rifle. but I did end up cutting quite a bit of it off in places to make it more  functional and less snaggy.

I would like to have as many colors as possible. Whens the last time you look at a real tree camo
material it has many many colors in it.  What thickness should i get how many mm?

Buy it by the roll at HD.  Three colors is the MOST you need for a ghillie.  Real "tree" is not real "world".  A properly constructed ghillie is NOT the end of camo, it's the beginning.  In other words, a ghillie suit is a base for camoflouge.  The base of mine is 2 colors, undyed and dark green.  The rest is natural vegetation from where ever you are at.

I've got a brand-new, NEVER USED, GhillieSuits.com poncho for sale. I gave $180 for it new plus S/H for a total of $200 about 2 years ago and then I got transferred and never got to use it. I'll make any ARF.Com'er a sweet deal on it if anyone here is interested. You can see the actual ad at ghilliesuits.com

just know you can get that veil you wanted for $29 + any extra colored jute you want for 9.50 a pound.

You can also get a bigger poncho for about $69...

My veil rocks 2' by 3' - field expedient camo and not too heavy
