In the process of trying to restore my Martini Henry, I've run into some rust on the bottom of the barrel that I cannot kill. I've tried everything up to naval jelly with no luck. Get rid of what I can see, hit it with some oil and set it aside only to return a few weeks later to fresh rust. I am at my wit's end and am pondering just sending the damn thing off to get refinished, which I don't want to do. Anyone have any ideas? |
