I remember a thread like this from a while ago. I haven't seen it done recently, though.
Look at your Subscriptions folder. In September so far, what fraction of the threads you've participated in have you killed? I've taken 3 / 44 down, or 6.8% That seems pretty high |

Quoted: Once I killed a thread just to watch it die. I killed it dead. It would never come back from the killing I killed it with. No way. No how. DEAD. Thats fucked. Im gonna call People for the Ethical Treatment of Threads. Ive had enough of this cruelty. NO THREADS FOR OIL

I don't know if I've ever killed a thread or not, I'm just wondering about this subscriptions folder you speak of.
What is the subscription folder? How come I can't find it? How the heck did you find it? How do you feel about it? How should I feel about it? Oh, and does it count if your posts are routinely ignored rather than just being the last post in a thread? |

Quoted:
Depends on the thread. Some I don't seem to affect; others, one innocuous post will pretty much guarantee it goes at least five or six pages. Jane As a casual observer I don't think the posts you have in mind are as innocuous as you would have us believe, and I think you know this. |

I assumed they were innocuous since there have been threads where a post by another member passed with out comment while mine expressing the same opinion kicked off a spirited five or six page discussion. It's a funny old world, isn't it? Jane |

If you mean for trying to make sure that someone who comes looking for a fight gets his/her money's worth, I also agree. Otherwise, I have no idea what you mean. Jane |
