For Christmas I got a Lymann Trigger Pull Scale. I have a G21 and G19 I put 3.5 ghost connectors and 1+ pound trigger springs which someone told me was the was to go. Don't know the pull before the change.
Here's the results. G21 is at 5.3 oz G19 4.1oz. Not bad but not 3.5. Here are some I was surprised about: well shot STI Edge which I thought had an awesome trigger...5.5! Colt Gold Cup 4.14 Ruger 22/45 3.14 Kimber Custom Shop 3.13 Springfield Trophy Match 5.4 XDM9 6.15 Aug A3 with a neu-trigger 9.10 Armalite AR with Chip McCormmick trigger, not sure which one I bought it's been a while 5.4 I have a very early model S&W Sigma 9 and for all you trigger haters......9.11 you were right, worst in the lot. All are 5 pull averages. All have over 500 rounds thru them. I won't even start on the revolvers. Every trigger was heavier than I thought it would be. Have you tested yours or are you guessing? |

I hook a rod over trigger and lift a box of bullets. Add or remove bullets until the trigger stops breaking. Weigh all that stuff on a postal scale. That's the most accurate way to test trigger weight.
It sucks to travel for matches and not have a trigger make weight. Never again. |

There's a lot more to a good trigger than just the weight of pull this.. a 4lb crisp can feel better than a shitty 2.5lb.. no for a slap trigger you drop it to a nice 10 Oz.. |
| Used an electronic scale on a bunch of different guns. Multiple times on each gun. Got a different weight each time on the same gun. Some differed by as much as 1/2 pound, maybe more. That's been more than a few years ago. Would be interesting to weight each one multiple times again. |
