I just bought a surplus Enhanced LBV. It fits and all, but I need some tips on how the proper way to wear it is.

If it fits and doesn't hurt in the prone, it's right. Get the belt extender $2. if you ever wear it over a vest (BA) or winter clothes. What works for me maynot work for you

Straps go on your shoulders, belt goes around waist?

If it fits, it's fine. With gear, you probably want some kind of seasonal approach to the straps. IE: tighten em up for the summer, loosen em up for the winter, etc.

Load some mags, load up the LBV, and jump around. If it bounces up and down like a pair of titties, tighten it up. Pretty self explanatory mate.

titties. Check. Whats the deal with the metal clips on the belt? They get in the way when I adjust it.

Which ones? The slideys or the clippies?

As far as I can tell, the slideys are there to get in the way when you adjust it.

I dont have a canteen but it looks like the the little metal clips on the back for those canteen "holsters". They are a pain in the ass. Is it kosher to remove them?

Those are what secure the holster to the LBV belt.
