| We still have those same rifles at work. Motivated by the North Hollywood shootout and the Columbine shooting, they were purchased around 1999 or 2000. They're finally being phased out. Semi-auto BCGs, screw-in front pivot pins, oddly-sized trigger group pins, H-buffers. They always ran well. |

The later A2 Law Enforcement Carbine models (6520) had standard size fog pins and captured spring take down pins. |

We have one in our inventory that must have been purchased a couple years after the others - it's got the mil-spec sized trigger group pins and standard pivot pin. I hope to be able to buy that particular one when they're sold. |

Even got a bunch of marked mags to go with them. |

I have a 6520 that was a PA State Police trade in back in 16/17-ish? A buddy and I paid $635 OTD for each one we got. They were cosmetically beat up, rack and handling marks, but factory nice inside. I put on a Midwest drop in quad, a TRL-1 with a pad, and a Magpul stock on it. It's my KISS carbine. It's the lightest AR I have by a lot. It's the one I would grab if I had to sling it running from zombies. If I ever had to re-barreled it, I would prob go 14.5 pencil just to shave even more. It's the only AR I have resisted finger pherking, adding on or trying to re-engineer and it's resulted in a wonderfully simple carbine. At 899, I'd be a 'no thanks' because I could replicate it for less, but it's wouldn't be a real Colt now, would it? |

It's got some weird...web thing, in the trigger pocket. Like a bridge of metal over the top I wonder if I can just mill that out using an 80% lower jig and mill? |

That was done by Colt to prevent a DIAS from being dropped in. That, the large pin fire control group, and the half moon bolt carriers were all to dick with potential conversions to full auto. Colt probably felt that's how they could maintain their police contracts during the AWB. |

Big trigger pins don’t bother me cause either I good polishing of the existing fcg or a G replacement will spice up that trigger nicely. |

Wow, the confusion in this thread about colt pins is amazing. There are TWO DIFFERENT categories of fucked-up pins Colt used over the years. The takedown pins, and the fire control pins. They fucked-up takedown pins went away a long long time ago and are easy to spot. The large trigger pins were used between about 1991 and 2009. It is hard to notice the trigger pin size on a casual look. The large trigger pins suck balls, you can't use standard AR triggers with them If a Colt LE gun has restricted markings, there is a very good chance it has the large (non-standard) pins. The restricted markings went away around 2011 or so. Only a few years of normal size pins and restricted markings. |

I bet this is actually doable since they are shimmed in the frt body already. Would need one for that, or the receiver itself. Would suck to get it right for 4 holes. I don't think it will interface with the webbing of the lower. Edit - referring to the trigger assy itself. |
