Rigid

Edit: it's what I see on a lot of professional race vehicles, emergency vehicles, etc. Very tough product.

Doesn't Rigid use CREE LED with their own reflectors?

Rigid was out of my budget so I went with one from a company called Olympus Off Road. It's been on 2 different f150s now for about 3 1/2 years and it kicks ass.
Half the price of a rigid

Cree makes a great led. I have sold most of the bars that are currently on the market. Rigid had by far the highest return rate and the crappiest CS.  You want One step above Rigid get a chicom rip off like plashlights   You want almost indestructible and end user serviceable look at Baja Designs

i have 3 22" chicom cheap bars off amazon and ebay. they are around 40.00 now. one on my push bar and one on each side of my roof rack.

they have been excellent. my front bar has been completely dunked in a stream several times with no issues. all 3 have survived sever extended driving rains during storms and being banged around in the woods on fire and rescue calls. i honestly see zero reason to spend 300.00 on a brand name bar anymore, especially when most of them appear to be rebranded chicom bars.

we have also replaced 4 scene lights on rescue truck with these same bars and they have worked perfectly.

I just wish the light bar manufacturers would use the latest Cree leds.
They could make the bars smaller or brighter for not much more money.

Cree. They're the only ones I'll get any LED from.

Not sure who they use for bulbs. But the overall product is very high quality.

I thought the choices were Whelen or Federal?

Try VisionX, www.visionxusa.com.

Very good visible and IR LED lighting for a reasonable price. I've used them for a few years now.

Give up TBS.... arfcom will never realize that money doesn't always equal quality...

I have a 42" curved bar from Amazon on the roof, and a chapo 22" with Osram LEDs on the bumper. Unfortunately the 22 has caught a rock somewhere so is in need of replacing. Still works for now, just not waterproof anymore. I also have two 6 led lights on a bar in back and one 6led rectangle pod on each side of the roof rack.

I guess I wasn't clear on what I am looking to find out. I was talking about the bulbs. From what I see it appears that Osram is a brighter bulb but I was hoping to get ideas from those using them.

as in home bulbs?

i have been buying whatever in cheapest in 6 packs off amazon. no issues at all. i have also found no perceivable color difference between manufactures assuming the same color spectrum. most of the ones i get use cree emitters.

with bulbs the biggest issue seems to not be lumen output but the quality of the diffuser. around it.
