So I was surfing the internets for info on HR 822 (would allow reciprocity for CCW in all states with CCW) and stumbled on this site:

http://www.bradycampaign.org/

Then I read some stuff on this site. I can't even remember the last time that I was this angry; like more angry than when I road rage j/k

But seriously, they just flat out lie and the ignorant masses that don't know the laws will believe them. How's this for some lies:

"The "Packing Heat on Your Street" bill (H.R. 822), recently passed the U.S. House of Representatives and is now in the U.S. Senate.
H.R. 822 is a dangerous gun lobby bill that would force states to allow the carrying of loaded, hidden guns by untrained, out-of-state visitors, even by persons legally barred from possessing guns in the state where the carrying occurs.
H.R. 822 is so extreme it would allow dangerous, violent, and untrained people from out-of-state to carry loaded guns in your community, and your state would be powerless to stop them."

Are you effing kidding me?!?!? What kind of... I'm speechless

I had to vent, this blew my mind

Thats why I don't read their bullshit.  The balance of power is so tilted our direction that the antis will spew poppycock in a misguided effort to further their cause.  Fuck them.

While I'm not going to argue that the Brady Bunch isn't lying scum, the "untrained" part isn't necessarily false. You don't need any training to get a Georgia Firearms License, and I know many other states don't require any training.

And that's the way it should be.

Don't have to read any of their stuff. If they're against it, I'm for it.

the people that would believe that tripe are also the same people that will NEVER be gun rights people in the first place.

it's preaching to the choir, a circle masturbation fest if you will. (which is only slightly bigger than a circle jerk)

hell, I know some "law enforcement" that are untrained with their own guns.

I don't consider "qualifying" with your gun twice a year as trained. and believe me, that's the only time these lops shoot any gun.

Indiana doesn't require training either, but there is a background check before you get your license.

Yup.

There is no training requirement in the 2nd.

Just as I don't have to hold a degree in speech and communication to use the 1st.

I'm not so concerned about the trained portion, more the "dangerous" and "violent". I guess everyone that carries a gun is a criminal... I hate idiots

New to the tactics of the gun control crowd I guess?
