Just curious if there's a way to make the keys on a laptop a little bit quieter.



I haven't popped this thing open but I would like to have the keys as close to silent as possible. Right now they are a little on the clicky side.

If you have experience at laptop disassembly then no problem to get apart, but I know of no way to make the keys less 'clicky' on a laptop without replacing keyboard with a soft-touch or membrane one. Just don't type so hard.

Okay. I might open it up just to take a look at least. I never open these things at all.



There doesn't seem to be much info on this when I google it, perhaps its just not that worthwhile.

Just spray builders foam under the keys.

Fortunately that key isn't used that much. Maybe you can just stick er back on there.
