Anyone tried one? It's basically a snap cap with a laser activated by the firing pin. Combine it with a laser-sensitive target and it seems like an interesting dry firing system.

Snake oil or not?

never used one of these but I do have one of their  laser boresights, they seem to make a good product

Looks like it could be somewhat useful.

I am using regular snap caps to practice trigger control and augment my range work lately.

I read an article on that not long ago. The author thought highly of the system and even did his own adhoc test. His wide and son did before and after pistol quals and both showed a marked improvement. I think its a great enhancement to dry fire practice because you get some visual feedback. A good investment IMO.

I'll order one and see what's up. I hope it will make dry fire practice and presentation practice more appealing.

The place where I did my CCW used one before we went out onto the range for live fire. It did really help you focus on keeping your sight picture still while you pull all the way through I thought.

I have one.  My first cartridge went bad, but they replaced it as soon as they had stock again.  I use it with their target system.  I recommend it.  It is great with DAO or DA/SA guns since you don't need to rack the slide for each trigger pull.

I played with one, the thing I didnt like was that it doesnt show the hits as you make them, only after you press the button on the unit to show them.
