What is it and what does it do? A website with hundreds of thousands of members, used to log music you listen to. You download a spyware/adware free program, install it and play music. Every song you play, will be "scrobbled," onto your profile showing what you are listening to and what you listened to before. After you listen to enough music, Last.fm will create your own personal radio station which plays only the type of music it scrobbled and even a radio station that introduces you to different bands that play the type of music you like. If you decide you want to go to work, or somewhere you can't access your music folders, you can play your radio station and it will broadcast all of your music. Is it safe for people who download music? Absolutely, it doesn't transmit whether it is downloaded or burned. Only the title and band name. Does ARFCOM have a group radio station?  I almost brought up the Fallout Boy being on there! I don't rag folks too much over music, because I listen to a lot of stuff many people find ojectionable, but Fallout Boy is hot garbage! |
