I washed a shirt with a stick of chewing gum in the pocket, can anyone give any suggestions on how to remove the melted gum, I don't want to toss the shirt.

Toss the shirt.

Also, PUT DOWN THE LAUNDRY AND STEP AWAY FROM THE WASHER!!!

Men should not be allowed to wash clothing, exept perhaps our work clothes, and even then, only under female supervision.  (My wife dictated that sentence to me)

No no - there was nothing clever about it at all.  It was entirely unintentional!

I had washed one pillowcase of these blue (with a pattern) sheets, and added bleach, and they came out FINE - slightly faded, but the color was completely unchanged.  After that test, I figured it would be fine to wash the fitted sheets with bleach as well, but they came out completely red.

I totally don't get it.

Next time, let the cat do the laundry.  It's beyond you, obviously.
