I always see people bitching about people going "slow" in the fast lane, but what exactly do you consider "slow"

The most important thing to do in the left lane is find some car in the right lane, get exactly 1/2 car length behind it, and then go exactly the same speed as that car. Now you are an effective driver, and a contributor to the greatness and majesty of our society. |

When I'm cruising the posted speed limit in my 15 year old truck(in the right lane) and you decide to tailgate me, you are dumber than dirt.
My trailer hitch will turn your radiator into Niagara Falls. Ask the dumb bitch in the Lexus on Paseo Del Norte how that works. If I'm in the left lane, get the fuck outta the way.

Quoted: Slow = not passing the people in the right lanes /thread QFT. My mom used to drive in the left lane and it drove me crazy! Me: "Mom, get out of the left lane!" Mom: "I'm going the speed limit!" Me: "I don't care if your running 110! Somebody behind you might want to run 120!" She finally gets it now. |
| Sometimes, I'll be in the right lane and I'll have a Camry up my ass with a free left lane. I'll then shift to the left lane and watch the woman driver in the Camry blow past me on the right. I then get back in the right lane. That happened to me twice today. And neither of them turned off to the right anywhere close to where it happened. |

Exactly this! Please pass the vehicle on the right to allow faster traffic to pass on the left. I see this all the time while traveling on I-75 in Georgia. I wish I could narrow down the offenders but it includes everyone of race, gender and age.

You should be going fast enough to pass the vehicle in the travel lane that you're trying to pass.
If you're traveling in the passing lane or speeding in the exit lane then you're unfit to be on the roads. Most city-dwellers don't know the first thing about how to drive properly or courteously. |

Here you best be doing +20 mph over or passing.
Normally folks are doing 75-80 in the 65 mph zones which is just fine. The fast lane a bit better than that. I tend to stay in the passing lane doing such but keep an eagle eye out back for people coming up from behind - like someone doing 85 mph or the cops. I'll yield way early and let them pass. If they only enforced the minimum speed limit laws I'd be more than happy. Some of the desert freeways are just two lanes and the slow lane will be full of trucks and RV's and the "fast" lane full of blue hair zoners too afraid to pass the trucks. OMGWTFBBQ. These seniors on the way to Mouseland will cause 40-50 cars to pile up behind them trying to push them out-of-the-way. Grandma shouldn't be heading north or east on Friday or south or west on Sunday - there ought to be a law that you must be able to drive this fast to play on those days in those directions. |

Typically it flows 6-10 over in the left lane. Here in CO left lane bandits get tickets for interfering with the flow of traffic regardless of what speed they are going. Yes you can get a ticket for 6-10 over if you are obnoxious enough to draw attention from the CHP. |

What is speeding in the exit lane? Some folks like to do 10 to 20 over the speed limit in the furthest right lane, passing on the right of everyone in the travel lanes while simultaneously making things difficult for people merging into traffic from an onramp AND setting themselves up for failure when they finally take their offramp. I've seen those tards make those long-ass treadmarks leading into the grass on the offramp as well as cause those dented up guardrails on the curves. |
| I'm in Jersey. Law says not to impede traffic and to yield to faster drivers. You may not speed but if traffic is moving at 85+ you are expected to keep up. If everyone is doing 90, you do 90 too. Police will not fish you out of the crowd. Most troopers I know issue tickets for failure to yield by the dozen but write very few speeding tickets. Of course, that goes out the window if you're weaving in and out and acting unsafely. |

| If the highway traffic is light, than slow = not passing cars that are in the right lanes and the left lane should be for passing only. If the highway traffic is heavy, than as long as you are going as fast as the car in front and the traffic will allow you are okay. I hate the a@@hats during rush hour traffic that ride your ass and flash your lights when you can't go any faster and you can't move over either. |
