In the market for over 1000 lumens or MORE running on a single or double 18650.

Don't want multiple switching, just one mode HIGH. So when I turn it on it blinds.

Fenix PD35 is pretty close at 960 lumens.
I don't love it though for one simple reason: the mode switch sucks a big donkey dick. I'm amazed they messed it up so badly. I guess it doesn't follow your desire to just have one high mode, though I mean you can always just set it on "turbo" and leave it there and it will be a "one mode" flashlight. That also negates the issues with the switch, since you won't use it. Actually, it's good since the switch is so hard to find/use anyway, that it's not going to bother you or accidentally switch modes.

Jetbeam BC40SE

This is the latest version, I have the older version but a good light for the price. Push the rear button for normal mode and then twist head for high, could just keep head twisted for one mode high lumen all the time.

2000 Lumens

This is close but it uses a 4000 mah RCR26650 lithium, which is GTG. I already have one, the Maelstrom in 700 Lumens.

Might help us if you explain why.

I mean, I don't like the toggle switch, but like I said it's more of a selling point for your needs.

Just not bright enough, or is it the style or battery life, or too tacticool or what?

Not bright enough, don't like the switch setup and the flat sides.

I don't have any issues with the PD35 and how they operate.

Simple on off button.  Leave it in the mode you like or need.

Not complicated.

I recently got a malkoff md60 drop in for my sf m3t head that is run with leaf double 18650 body. It is a dedicated throw light for spotting the dog poo on night runs . I don't know about the lumens but it would kill your eyes if it was blasted at dark adjusted eyes.

But I often need to switch modes. I hate fumbling around with my fingers to just find the damned switch, then guess which mode I'm in.

Also since I EDC it, should I ever need it for SD, there's a good chance it's in a low mode, and suddenly I'm "blinding" someone with a 140 lumen candle, and it's going to take more than a second to fumble around and jack it up to turbo. It's pretty much useless in that respect.

How long will it provide that output before going much lower - 2 minutes something like that?
