It never fails... Start talking about the warror on terror or the war in Iraq and liberal "apologists" will come out of the wood work. Mention Nick Berg and they will foam at the mouth about the Crusades and Inquisition. When offered a choice between Bush or Osama many of them are in the Al Quida camp. They offer reasons such as Bush's campaign to create a Christian state, his illegal and immoral war against Muslims and his destruction of "freedom" with legislation such as the Patriot Act. Do they HONESTLY not understand who they are supporting? Do they honestly NOT KNOW what the Taliban/Al Quida would do to them? If given a chance Western liberals would be the FIRST people killed by Al Quida/Taliban types. You don't like Christians who want to pray in School? Under Islam you pray 5 TIMES EVERY DAY. You think Christians are hard on pornography? Imagine all the hot chicks at the beach covered in a Burka. You think Bush has a personal agenda against homosexuals? Quite simply they would be put to death in Islamic countries. Womens rights? How about not even the right to NOT be raped? Abortion? Guess how long the life expentency of an abortionist is in Islamic countries? Virtually every liberal issue is not only illegal in Islamic countries, most times you can be arrested or put to death for it. DU types would be the first ones to die. Ironically, they'd probably have a better chance of surviving the Inquisition than living in a modern Islamic state. |

Ok I showed this thread to a super liberal friend of mine to get his thoughts...if you could call them thoughts anyway. 1. There is little difference between Fundamentalist Christians and the Taliban/Al Quida. And that if GWB had it his way the US would be run just like Iran. And the majority of Americans [me included] are just too stupid to see it. 2. Taliban/Al Quida only want the Middle East to be free of US control, But the evil Bush/oil companies are using the "WOT" as an excuse to take everybody who doesn't agree with them rights away. 3. Israel is nothing more then an invading army that illegally took land that didn't belong to them. And the US government is behind it all to keep the Middle East destabilized so it can be kept under the control of US oil companies. Now to understand why he thinks this way.......you have to understand that he believes that George Hearst in the HBO series Deadwood is a perfect example of President Bush and 90 % of capitalist in this country. |

Saw that this morning as well. I have serious trouble when I see vermin like this on the TV not envisioning the back of their heads exploding as a nicely-mushroomed .308 caliber bullet exits it. Ok i read it. What am i supposed to get out of it? IOW, do you think she is right or wrong? I think she is 100% wrong for essentially 100 reasons. The weird thing is, she seems to have written a book about Islam called "a short history of Islam"!!  Short indeed! She must've stopped right at the point where Islam began its attempt at world conquest! Which is what? the day before Al-hegira?
