I have a Win7 laptop that is very random in accessing the Internet. It connects successfully for a minute or two, then shows limited access. I disconnect and reconnet and the same thing happens again.
Signal strenth is excellent. I have other devices on this network that have no trouble at all. I have tried shutting them down to allow more bandwidth for this machine, but it doesn't seem to matter. Same happens when I connect with the Ethernet cable. About 10% of the time, it connects great. What could be wrong? |

That usually means you aren't getting an IP address fom DHCP and the device is using it's autoconfig address.
Is DHCP enabled on your router? Have you run out of DHCP addresses? What do you see when you do IPCONFIG /ALL? You wouldn't happen to have some kind of Norton installed? |
