First he's a republican, then he's an independent, and now he's a democrat.

So he's covered all the bases. He'll be whatever it takes to get elected (like any politician) to any position.

Vanity run, otherwise just attention whoring hoping for the offer of some cabinet position / prime ambassador spot to "decline to run" after all.
