| Thoughts? |
| I joined when it was in it's infancy stage. I never really took it seriously, as all my best jobs were acquired either through good old fashioned "networking" or being placed by a headhunter (six figure jobs, those were the days). Those days are gone, and I never really kept up with Linked in. Honestly, I think I made a mistake. Some people swear by it. I sometimes think I need to get with someone who can bring me up to speed there, but then again I'm not a Facebook kind of guy either. |

I have an account but I think its more for staying in contact with professionals in your past than it is for any current opportunity networking.
I don't like it when people I don't know ask me to "connect". They are usually getting ready to ask me for something. |

I've received requests like that from people in other industries and so far removed from a mutual friend or coworker that I'm stunned. I often think, "Can't hurt, why not?" but usually I just find it silly. |
