I'm a sucker for these kinds of cheap action movies. The "continuous" shot for the alley fight scene was well done. Good action. Good deaths.

Gerard Butler kinda makes messed up faces when he talks, but his weapons manipulation is pretty solid.

I mean, who wouldn't want to be rescued by Gerard Butler? Fucking Leonidas, man.

It wasn't horrible.  And the POTUS wasn't a scumbag shitbird in this movie.

It's on Netflix so I watched it a couple of days ago. I didn't much care for it aside from the action sequences, and the "we'll be around for 1,000 years!" bit struck me as poor writing.

I enjoyed it for what it was.

I also really enjoyed the "3rd person shooter": video-game style to the fight scenes - I'd never heard it called a "continuous shot" before, guess now I know the real technical term.

Funny, I was thinking the same thing.

I liked his line when Butler was making fun of his driving - "I'm the President of the United States. I haven't driven a car in six years!"

ETA: I also thought it was better than the first one.

As long as a movie doesn't go out of the way to piss me off I'll enjoy it.  This was a good flick with men acting like men.  Good and evil and you were rooting for good.

I'm a fan too. Very occasionally toss on a movie like that and have some booze, doesn't matter if you miss the little details.

Gerald Butler kill count?

I enjoyed the movie....after I suspended credibility.

I can not even imagine how many mage he would have needed to make it through the first half.

All that being said:  Enjoy!  It's a blast.

I'm watching it now. Gerard Butler is a fucking savage ass beast. He has no quams about killing any bad guys in his path.

This. I knew what it was when I started watching it and pretty much knew how it would end. I wasn't expecting to be emotionally moved or anything.  Way way way better than the English Patient...if anyone gets it.

i like how they would get in a vehicle with an auto trans and shift it forward (into park) and then somehow go faster. lol.

You realize some auto transmissions have a sport mode and the shifter can move forward and back to perform shifting?   My cts-v has it. Rather pointless but it has the feature.

I liked the unrepentent attitude of Banning towards killing his enemies

Guy's motorcycle crashes through my car's back window?  Shoot him in the head for good measure.

Don't have a knife?  Smash his throat with a board.

Talking to terrorist?  Slowly gut his brother while making him listen.....even though it isn't really necessary.

It's funny though, because according to IMDB, it's set 8 years after the first one so Aaron Eckhart's character has been president at least 10 years
