| I went to Lowes yesterday to buy a new refrigerator (Ours died suddenly). Lowes had one like we wanted at a good price. I went to the counter to pay for it and the clerk, who appeared to be around 17, must've noticed my "OIF Veteran" hat. I rarely wear it and just happened to grab it on the way out the door. The young clerk asked me "Are you in the military?" I said "I was." He gave me the military discount...another 10% off. I thanked him but I don't think I really conveyed how much it meant to me. It really took me by surprise to have someone that young just say "Thanks for what you did" like that. It made me feel good and saved me a bunch of $$. If he hadn't said anything I would have never known that they had "Military Discount". So shop at LOWES! |
