You can also use them with HK mags with a clip guide, and on FAL mags with either the clip guide, or the stripper clip topcover in the rifle ala M14. You can also use them to hold your loose ammo of the same head design, like .270, .243, 8mm, 7mm, .45acp, etc. You may or may not be able to use the clips to load a mag, but it keeps all those loose rounds together.
