Two traffic stops on Interstate 17 north of Phoenix led to the arrests of 19 illegal immigrants, authorities said. One vehicle was pulled over Monday after an illegal lane change, and a second vehicle did not have a visible license plate, according to the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office. All 19 said they were from Mexico and not in the country legally, the Sheriff's Office said. They were arrested on suspicion of violating human smuggling laws or co-conspiring to commit human smuggling, authorities said.
