My daughter is about ready to complete her first year at college. So far the grades are good and she is taking school serious. She is asking for a new computer, a MacBook pro. These things are not cheap. Is there any place to get a better price or does Apple keep the price fixed on these things?

For what it's worth they are close to coming out with the latest generation i7 processor. I've heard spring to fall time frame. I don't know if it's worth waiting for or not but the mac community is anxiously awaiting the update.
I have a mid 2010 15" mac book pro with a first generation i5. I upgraded ram to 8gb, and put in a 500 GB ssd. It fine for my uses - surfing, autocad lite. It would not do will in photo or graphics intensive rendering applications. |
