Well, I went through my AR mags I bought in the last year...and...I have *a couple*...some more are coming in . I noticed they make storage bags for them, but haven't been able to find any in stock. Any fellow ARFERS know of any sources |

Seems pointless to me, why would you want that on your mags. Just throw them in a ammo can and waalaa I don't even do that. I mean, I find that to be part of the beauty of PMags. Everything is polymer except for the spring which, I believe, is Teflon? coated. Unless if you're constantly cleaning the springs with chemicals and/or brushes, you shouldn't have to worry about them corroding. |

OMG folks; mags last forever. I have tons of mags that are 40 years old that look and function like new. As we speak, i'm holding a shoebox full of G91 HK mags marked '63. They are basically like new. All i did was keep then dry and in a cool place.
They are tougher than you think. |
| These style were used in Vietnam. They had us propaganda on them. Soldiers could rip the tops off and leave the bag for someone to read. They are designed to protect the ammo and mag from rain etc. I didnt know they made them in 30 rds. I might get some. Way better than a ziplock bag because of thicker plastic. |

These work really well, and are cheap. I use the 4x10" ones, although the 4x8" will probably also fit.
100 bags for $5.00. If you're a magazine whore, 1,000 bags is $45.00. http://lemelange.com/plasticbags-medium.aspx |

Here's what I don't understand by everyone who gave a suggestion of some sort of air-tight container.
Not one of you recommended desiccant. By trapping it in a bag with air, all you're doing is allowing the moisture in that air to sit on the mag for however long it's stored. It would almost be worse to put it in an air-tight container with no desiccant than it would to leave it in the open with circulating air. Anyway, I find no need for it. Whether it's a steel mag covered in a Teflon coating or not......and especially if it's a polymer mag. |
