Mail FROM Iraqi

I’m sending stuff to my wife’s nephew in Iraqi.  To help him reply he has asked for stamped envelopes.  Do regular US Postage stamps work?

I thought mailing letters was free for troops in a combat zone.  Did that change?

He is suppose to be writing "FREE" in the upper right hand corner.  As long as it comes from his deployed addy...it's free.  Have him go talk to the postman on post.

Still free from Iraq.  Mail (letters) is getting home in about 8-10 days.

Thank guess he just needs addressed envelops.  What is the best phone card to send him?
