I aksed in Urban Commandos but I feel it will get a little more attention here:

"My friend wants to make a website for free, what is the best place to make one for free?"

Learn HTML. There are more than enough sites that teach this if you search for it. If you understand HTML, all you need is the Notepad (.txt file editor) included with your PC and save files as .htm or .html.

you cna get free hosting from any number of places including www.geocities.com among others.

Frontpage and/or Dreamweaver are good.

Or write the code yourself.

We have the code for the website but we dont know how to get it up on the internet for free.
