Don't be so open.  Be stealthy.  Maybe there's an uncle Fred who has skills who might be enlisted so that dad doesn't get the spotlight...and no one suspects uncle Fred.  Dad doesn't need to be a martyr for a broken political and criminal system.  There are ways, and apparently many of our governmental leaders think everyone is just going to roll over as family members are murdered and victimized.

Yeah, I bet. Gonna be smiling flag-waving MAGA meemaws holding glitter signs with elbow macaroni letters calling out the hypocrisy of all the leftists in government who don't care about being hypocritical all over the place.

I guess the spicy part is when the FBI rounds up all the meemaws for terrorism afterward

Based on feedback from people on this site, apparently the way to get Republican politicians to take it seriously is to vote for them reflexively and write letters. My approach is different: Don't vote at all, and instead financially support independent/citizen journalists who influence social media attention.

The reason this works is because Politicians pay a lot more attention to what someone with 250k followers has to say about him than whatever you wasted your time writing in your sternly worded letter.

And if you reflexively vote R, then you honestly don't matter to them at all (or, at least, very little) until they are about to lose an election because they allowed Conservatives to be politically persecuted.

Not voting is not a good idea. I understand why you say that and I understand why many of these rinos don't deserve a vote but not voting is only going to result in total one party rule. Then it'll will be like England and Australia and *never* come back from  that. What does that really accomplish?

Anarcho-tyranny

A stage of governmental dysfunction in which the state is anarchically hopeless at coping with large matters but ruthlessly tyrannical in the enforcement of small ones.

I disagree, although I used to say the things you are saying.

Republican politicians are going to have to get it written on their eyeballs that if they don't get their ass in gear, they are going to lose. All of them.

The way to do that is to sit it out, and let social media work in our favor for once. Politicians pay attention to social media way more than any other method of communication. But if they think their graft and gravy train is about to end because their base has lost confidence in them, then they will have to do something about it.

That's where we want them. Voting just puts some jackass in office, social media is how you control them, and voting is the stick to kick their asses out if they don't start protecting us from political persecution

It appears there is beginning to be a lot of questioning and anger here now.

Lots of officials beginning to question the release and the weak charges.  The governor has been vocal about it.  He is tweeting about it. Apparently it is very rare that he tweets or posts on social media.

There is a lot of anger and disgust with this clown show of a response.

Local businesses are having fund raisers for the family of the kid.

The murderer used the same language to describe the victim that Biden and the left use to describe us. So yea, the blood is definitely on their hands with this one

It's crazy we tolerate this. It's crazy that even some of the highest elected politicians seemingly are stumped as to why this is happening.

The only way to end this is to add actual consequences for the judges and policy makers who make this sort of thing possible.

Killing someone, over a political debate, and then being released (to go home, have a bowl of cereal, get a good nights sleep) all for a small fraction of what a new economy car cost?

This is absolutely insanity.

I don't think we would survive even one cycle of one party rule while the gop is supposed to be learning we are serious this time about no longer voting for them.

We already have one-party rule. The point is to get rid of it.

Using Social Media to communicate is instantaneous. It doesn't wait for an election. The point of giving money to influencers is to avoid voting them out by communicating that we will hold Republicans accountable if they don't shield us from political persecution.

Politicians can absolutely be shamed into capitulating in our direction if outspoken influencers hold them to task.

We have the ability to amplify their voices. Using our wallets, and our time.

Nothing can be fixed without election reform. Voting cannot be used as a solution until transparency has been restored. Because if an election cant be verified, then an election never happened.

Don't be so sure.  The "more to the story" could be this guy was absolutely insane about Republicans.  Take the GOP Softball Assassin.  From all accounts, that guy was a rage filled little manlet, who was constantly on social media groups like "Terminate Republicans".   Shannon could have been the same sort of person, being fed nothing but hate 24/7, and went out specifically to target one of those "MAGA extremists" his president told him about.   He sees a bunch of teenagers at a dance off, maybe saw a red hat, assumed they were "MAGA extremists" and just went ballistic.

The sad truth.  If the father posted on a website that someone should provide justice - and if justice was done, the father would probably be charged, the website shut down, and all the members investigated.  If this president said the same thing, he would be applauded and the FBI would do the hit.
---
He called his mother because he was being chased.  A bit different than hitting the accelerator after you have been attacked in your car.  In the first one, the police are defending the killer and in the second one they are convicting the victim.

Yup.

The very fact that he (the victim who was murdered) had enough time to call his mother to tell her he was being chased, shows that this wasn't a spur of the moment, impulsive act.

If the driver had made a move because he was surrounded/feeling threatened, the 18 y/o wouldn't have had the time to make that call.

This asshole chased down this young man with his vehicle, long enough for the victim to call his mother to tell her about it, before he was mowed down.

Drunk driving is a victimless crime until it isn’t. Just like criminals are not criminals until they are.  The key is you must have a victim before there is a victim.

You really think a guy with the mentality to admit to chasing down a kid and running them over, then commenting that he doesn't want his job, life etc. affected by this, has enough remorse to GAF?

It's not about remorse.
It's about coming to the realization that he threw away the same things his stupid ass claimed to be protecting while chasing down and murdering a kid,
And he is too weak to survive in an environment where his ass will be traded for cigarettes by people who don't give a fuck who he voted for.

Go look at the Charlottesville rhetoric and tell me the details matter. The standard they've created: did someone kill someone on the opposite political spectrum? If so, hate crime/ terrorism.

I saw a quote on Reddit that some need to hear

Mock them all you want but they really do think it's different and they don't give a shit about hypocrisy or being intellectually honest. They only care about winning and you guys best get your heads around that.
