LOL
https://kotaku.com/real-soldiers-cardboard-box-mgs-metal-gear-solid-robot-1850003072 the eight marines parked the AI robot in the middle of a traffic circle and played a game: Whoever could reach the robot from a long distance away without being detected won. And all eight marines were able to do so. Some did cartwheels, throwing off the robot's detection algorithm. Another pretended to be a tree, using branches and slowly moving toward the robot, smiling the whole time. But perhaps the best tactic used by the marines: hiding under a cardboard box. |

If all 8 were able to do so that speaks more on the crappy detection software than the ability for a box to defeat it. That being said, boxes win all.
As explained in the book, the AI system was trained to spot humans walking and running, not people doing somersaults or hiding in boxes. So these fairly simple and childish tactics worked and fooled the AI. View Quote |

We taught the terminator to be a more efficient killer. |

I wonder if a soldier slow crawling towards it wearing a ghillie suit would be effective

but when the robot is combined with humans, dodging the AI makes you distracted and rather obvious or vulnerable to humans.

View Quote That assumes there are people paying attention, and as soon as the AI is in place you can bet everyone else that's supposed to be paying attention immediately fucks off. |

So any animal costume would probably throw it off with long ears and long tail
Or just put on your poncho |

/* Patch Notes:
A.I. now assumes all cardboard boxes are threats and acts accordingly. */ System.out.println("Get REKT!"); System.out.println("Have a nice day!"); |

Came in here expecting a video or clip of a real marine sneaking around in a cardboard box. Instead what I got was an article about marines sneaking around in a cardboard box with pictures of an article about marines sneaking around in a cardboard box. So much fucking fail. Attached File |

You never know what folks are going to do until you hand it to them and say "I dunno, play around with it and find out!" I've heard some hilarious stories, which unsurprisingly, usually involve marines fucking off with prototypes "just because." |

Do you want Seven of Nine?

The Marines just realized that all they had to do was not do the things they did while calibrating the system. |

We spend a couple decades training our brains. Here we see some of the limitations of computers. Yes, I deal with programming computers to do shit, and it's very hard to get them to "behave normal." |

So a bunch of Marines turned an AI into part of the E-4 Mafia?
