The H&K Mark 23 Socom .45, Has anyone even seen these used in the field? Does anyone have pics? Wtf is the deal with these pistols that make them so hot? |
| I don't know what it is about the Mk23, but I used to hate shooting 45 acp handguns. A buddy of mine had a Mk23 and pretty much made me shot the thing. Now I want a TLE/RL II. And I love shooting .45's. It's just a sweet gun, I wish he still had it so I could shoot it some more.... |

Limited supply, purpose design for USSOCOM.... If you aren't going to get the correct suppressor you may as well get the Tactical or fullsize USP45. The weapon was designed as a second primary weapon. What an oxymoron, but that's the way it was written up. I believe the Tactical would give you a better bang for the buck though. There may only be 6000 or so available to the public, that would be why their price tag is higher than it should be. YMMV...... |

Having fondled both, I strongly recommend the Tactical instead. You get the benefits of the o-ring barrel, threads, and adjustable trigger without the Desert Eagle sized frame. Of course, if you intend to throw it at your foe after you run out of ammo, the 23 may be the answer for you. And for the record, I bought a Tactical. Woody |
