I am bored, and was just thinking how awesome this series is. I might just fire it back up. What ya'll think? Good game/series? I wish they could just have done away with that stupid Mako. I hate driving around in that thing all day. |

| Mass Effect is my favorite series of all time, and I still play it from time to time. Ending was terribad and rustled many jimmies. 80 hours of work across 3 games gets trashed by the final ten minutes. Fortunately, the ME3 Extended Cut DLC makes it palatable, and the Citadel DLC even makes it enjoyable. |

I liked it, but nowhere near as much as others did. My favorite part of the series was that you could take your character through all of the games. The combat missions themselves always felt a little linear to me.
My character was a soldier, and I did really enjoy having the different weapon powerups to choose from depending on what time of enemy I was engaging. ETA: as far as role playing shooters, I think Deus Ex series is the cream of the crop (the admittedly the 2nd game in the series was meh) |

I had a FemShep I played through all 3 (on 360). She finally hooked up with Liara. Was a paragon, but she had a couple moments of: 'Fuck this, and fuck you. BAM!' Hated the Council. Bunch of pansies...
It is a fun series, and I keep meaning to do another play-through as an asshole male and go for Tali. But, like the OP, I really don't want to think about having to 'drive' the Mako again. Although, might be able to skip a fair amount of that. I did like the weapons in the first game the best. I had my sniper rifle all setup to do a massive 50BMG style shot, and it would instantly overheat. But, it was crazy accurate, and you only needed one shot! Second game was probably the most fun overall. For some reason, I really liked the weird orbital mining mini-game.  Third game was much more simplistic action game.
And, let's not even talk about that abortion of an ending... |

Mods in Mass Effect are a lot more complicated to install than, say, Skyrim, but I did find and install one for ME3 that de-bimbofied Ashley and returned her closer to her ME1 and 2 appearance. So that was good. Space heels are retarded. |

Great series. ME3 had some content I really didn't care for though. Shepard's shuttle pilot is just going to have to be doomed to die in all my playthroughs. I also don't like how it forced you to participate in the multiplayer either but that was fixable with cheats.
I punched the reporter in all 3 games. |

Fuck the mako, that thing sucks balls and fuck the mining missions and double fuck thermal clips The third one had the best dlc with the M7 so you can finally stop having to worry about thermal clips. And that silenced pistol was superb. |

Fuck waiting 2/3rds of the game for it. |
