I saw those on Galls a while back, but they disappeared before I got around to ordering them.

I can't find them now searching after seeing this post. Do you have a link to the item on Galls site?

US Cavalry has them for $176 a piece.  The video was pretty convincing!  Thanks for the post Bama!

I was in the market for plates a few months back.  My co-workers jumped on the bandwagon.  We called the manufacturer and they sent a rep and did a demo with us.  THREE 5.56 rounds in the same spot with a Eotech at 15 yards and the plates DID NOT CRACK.  Additionally they are stand alone plates for the level iV protection, NIJ certified.  They are triple curved and extremely comfortable, from the guys who have a few extra pounds like myself to the anorexic guy in the office.  They feel good.

Manufactuer will sell direct to LEOs for $175 a plate plus freight.  I got them with a carrier for $415 delivered (NO TAX TO LEOS) with "goodies" from the manufacturer.  Rather get them direct than a vendor but it that is my preference.

Galls has them in the new 2010 Reference Guide for $199 per plate plus a 10% off with free shipping coupon which equals $358.20 + tax + carrier + no "goodies."

Normal weight for ceramic Level IV plates.

The lightweight polypropylene polyethylene plates tend to have problems with M855.

My old Point Blank level IV plates tipped the scales at just over 8lbs.  Getting lighter I guess
