Yea
that's right , the election is over and I go back to my original position on McCain as a US Senator. Never liked him |
|
Now that the elections over and I don't have to maintain false appearances and "spirits", I would like to take this opportunity to say this:
Screw you, McCain. I never liked you anyway. When everyone said we needed a "moderate" to get elected I knew it would lead us to our doom. When Fred Thompson lost, when mitt Romney lost, I knew it was over. Thanks for nothing. Your failure to bring up any of the important issues and radical associations that would have won you the election during the debates and your speeches. I resent your comment about how "maybe Obama should be the winner". I salute you for your obvious qualifications to be President and CiC, unlike Obama, but you suck McCain, you stupid RINO! Now go back to screwing conservatives in the senate and being buddy buddy with the libs. |

Yep, McCain sucks, it's a great thing that we got Obama instead... ![]() Well, McCain himself, in the stretch run of the campaign, said that Barry Dunham/Barry Soetero/Barrack Hussein Obama was a good man and we didn't need to fear his Presidency.

A bad call on McCain's part but he's still a lot better than what we have now...

Ya know… John McCain is a great American. He really is a hero that we should all look up to. Unfortunately, battlefield courage doesn’t translate into political resolve, bravery is not the same thing as wisdom.
Heroes aren’t real people, they are symbols for our hopes and dreams. The men behind the symbols have all the weaknesses of any mortal man. I learned that with John Glenn. I actually supported him for President. It was only later that I found out just how Liberal he was. That lesson has stuck with me all these years. It also lets me understand how so many people support Obama. He’s a hero to them, a symbol of something greater than a mere mortal. His weaknesses as a man or his policies and beliefs don’t interest the Obama supporters right now. They will in a week or so. But this is about John McCain. He, like Bob Dole, was crippled in war and went into politics. And like Bob Dole he got the nomination on the basis of “It’s my turn now.” Neither man had any real agenda. Neither man could offer any real vision for the country. The only reason to vote for either one was that they weren’t as bad as the other guy. Don’t get me wrong, Dole would have made a good President. McCain would have been fair at best. Obama will be a disaster, but at least he’s not our disaster… Well, he will be our disaster but we can’t be blamed for him in any way. |

The GOP has to get away from nominating Senior Senators. Sometime during their Second Term they lose touch with what it takes to win a competitive campaign. I can't even think of the last GOP Senator to win the POTUS. The Dems have JFK and now Obama, but I can't think of a Rep. |

I didn't support many of his ideas, but the guy's a war hero and I'm not going to say "he sucks." It is intended politically, not personally. I am certain he is a fine man (although his past is not all great––but who's is); however, politically he was, as we all knew, on the wrong side of every major issue with the exception of the WOT. |

McCain has been one of the worst Senators for the GOP that I can remember. and my memory goes back a long way. He is a RINO and should have been a Democrat. As for voting for him in this election I had no choice. He should have never won the primary ...Now we will pay for it. I dont think it was ever that any of the people on this site actually liked McCaine, it was just that so many of us HATE Obama.
Me, I dont know either of them well enough to hate them, or say fuck them, I do know, from what I read, that I didnt agree with some of the things Obama wanted to do or agree with pertaining to gun rights so thats all it took for me not to vote for him. There are alot of extreamists amoung this site, I learned that thanks to this election. |

Newsweek puts people "on the inside" each year, during the campaigns. They do it with sort of a "gag order" that they won't write/print anything learned from those "inside the campaign" sources until after the election.
McCain's first choice for Veep was [really going to be] Lieberman. |

Good riddance While I will always respect his military service and his patriotism, he SUCKED as a politician, and never was a Reagan Conservative no matter how hard he tried to pretend he was. Retire John. You're done. I only half-jokingly speculated in another thread this morning that I wouldn't be surprised if he defected [like Lieberman did] so he could sit by his good friend..... Joe Lieberman. Of course, like Lieberman, he would caucus with the Democrats.

I doubt McCain would have been regarded any better that Bush and would have done yet even more damage to the Republican Party than has been done so far. If Obongo does half of what I think he will we could very well see 1984 repeated in 2012. Hopefully the GOP takes a lesson from this humiliating loss and runs a real candidate in 2012 because face it McCain did suck. |

Jindal 2012
Positions on selected social and political issues
Bobby Jindal has a 100% pro-life voting record according to the National Right to Life Committee.[27] He opposes abortion without exception.[28][29] He does not condemn medical procedures meant to save the life of a pregnant woman that would indirectly cause the termination of the pregnancy.[30][29] Jindal also supports the use of emergency contraception in the case of rape.[29] He opposes embryonic stem cell research[31] and voted against increasing federal funding to expand embryonic stem cell lines.[27] As a private citizen, Jindal voted for the "Stelly Tax plan",[32] a referendum named for former state Representative Vic Stelly of Lake Charles, which swapped some sales taxes for higher income taxes. Whether or not the "Stelly Plan" is giving the desired results is still hotly debated statewide. Early Republican challenger Steve Scalise challenged Jindal on his vote for this tax plan before Scalise dropped out of the congressional race in 2004. As Governor, Jindal initially opposed reforms to the Stelly plan that would result in over $300 million in tax cuts. He later agreed to the tax cut after the legislature appeared headed to eliminating the entire personal income tax which Jindal also opposed.[33] Talk show host Moon Griffon subsequently refused to air radio ads paid for by the organization Believe in Louisiana crediting Jindal for Stelly reforms saying "Now, they are taking credit for the biggest income tax cut in the history of Louisiana and I felt like it was a lie. To be real blunt, very misleading and it was an outright lie because he had fought hard against it".[33] Jindal voted yes on making the PATRIOT Act permanent, voted in favor of the 2006 Military Commissions Act, supported a constitutional amendment banning flag burning,[34] and voted against the Real ID Act of 2005.[35] Jindal has an A rating from Gun Owners of America.[citation needed] He was a member of the conservative Republican Study Committee.[36] In 2006, Jindal voted with the Republican Caucus 97 percent of the time during the 109th Congress.[37] Jindal also supports co-payments in Medicaid.[38] In 2006, Jindal sponsored the Deep Ocean Energy Resources Act (H.R. 4761), a bill to eliminate the moratorium on offshore oil and gas drilling over the U.S. outer continental shelf, which prompted the watchdog group Republicans for Environmental Protection to issue him "an environmental harm demerit".[39] Jindal's 2006 rating from that organization was -4, among the lowest in Congress. The nonpartisan League of Conservation Voters also censured Jindal for securing passage of H.R. 4761 in the House of Representatives; the group rated his environmental performance that year at seven percent, citing anti-environment votes on 11 out of 12 critical issues. Jindal's lifetime score from the League of Conservation Voters is seven percent.[40] Despite claims that Jindal's bill was successful,[41] H.R. 4761 was replaced by S 3711 (known as the Domenici-Landrieu Fair Share Plan). The original Senate version was passed by both houses of Congress and signed by President Bush.[42] In 2007, Jindal led the Louisiana delegation in Congressional earmark funding. According to Taxpayers for Common Sense, in 2007, Jindal's earmark funding was 14th among all Congressmen.[43] As Governor in 2008, Jindal used his line item veto to strike $16 million in earmarks from the state budget while allowing $30 million in legislator added spending.[44] Jindal supports the teaching of intelligent design in public schools.[45] On June 25, 2008, Jindal signed the "Sex Offender Chemical Castration Bill", authorizing the chemical castration of those convicted of certain sex offenses.[46] |

yup. Now that Chuck Hagel is gone, they are going to want someone new. |
| I said on here and to family and friends that as soon as McCain won the GOP nomination that we were fucked either way. And I figured correctly that he would try to run as a moderate Liberal and throw Conservatives under the bus and he'd lose. As Rush said today it's time for Conservatives to give an enema to the RINO's and Country Club Republicans left in the party. Obama and the Marxists in Congress are going to be hell on this country in the next four years. If we survive till then there will be an EXCELLENT! chance for a real Conservative to win. |
